What Happens Next?
- After your account request has been processed, you will be notified by e-mail via lc-support and IdM on what to do next.
- For OCF accounts, you will also receive, via US mail, a One-Time Password (OTP) token. Instructions on how to activate and use this token are included with your account notification e-mail. Offsite users and LLNL employees who work from home must also establish a Virtual Private Network Account.
- For SCF accounts, you will be asked to visit the LC Hotline in person to set up your initial password. If you are not physically at LLNL, as is the case for SecureNet users, you will receive your password and instructions via US mail.
- When you are ready to log in, see How Do I Access Livermore Computing Resources?
Machine Status E-mails
All users with accounts on LC systems will receive relevant system announcements via email including machine status notices and scheduled downtimes. Users cannot be unsubscribed from these emails. All announcement emails will have a subject line starting with "LC Notice -" which can be easily filtered by most mail programs.
