LC now supports using ESN Hub ePKI credentials to login to SCF web resources including (but not limited to) Confluence, Jira, GitLab, and Mattermost. Users may select the "ESN Hub" option during the login process to utilize their ESN Hub ePKI credentials. This option is available through both site-local S/RD networks and the ESN Hub thin client desktop environment.
This support allows for faster access to SCF web resources for new users that already have an ePKI credential because they simply need to request LC accounts and do not need to wait for an LLNL RSA token to be shipped to them.
ESN Hub ePKI credentials are managed by NNSA. Users can request a credential on the NNSA ServiceNow site. Users still need valid LC SCF accounts when using ESN Hub ePKI credential to login.
Support for RSA tokens is unaffected by this announcement. ESN Hub ePKI credentials are simply an alternative means of logging in at this time. In the future RSA tokens will be retired, so users may wish to request ePKI credentials now and familiarize themselves with their usage.
