TotalView is a debugger that provides support for HPC applications in C, C++, Fortran, and mixed-language C/C++ and Python code. The debugger supports MPI, OpenMP, and emerging HPC hardware and programming models.
TotalView provides scalable debugging of single to multiple nodes of AMD GPUs running HIP and NVIDIA GPUs running CUDA. The Totalview staff from Perforce (https://www.perforce.com/products/totalview) are visiting LLNL to give an overview of its capabilities and also provide guidance on how best to use this debugger for HPC.

Introduction to Parallel Python Debugging with TotalView

The TotalView team will present the new Parallel Python Debugging capabilities being added to TotalView.  This will be an interactive session beginning with a demonstration the new capabilities and a discussion on Python debugging challenges LLNL teams are having.
